Awan-dering frog: I landed in Saigon last Thursday after a 14 hour layover at the Taipei airport. Thus began four days of lounging around, getting over jetlag, stashing up on snacks and ramen, remembering how to cross the street again, and seeing two friends I met here last summer. It feels good to be back somewhere familiar. I've spent time in a few places outside of my university town and my hometown (France, Wisconsin, San Diego), but I haven't really returned to any of those places I had temporary residence. To come back here and have some people I know, memories on many street corners, some spots I frequented, some knowledge of the language (still very subpar) is something newly exciting.
